We have finished hammering out the details for the Provincials.

  • When: Sunday, May 24
  • Where: Sexton Gym (1360 Barrington Street, Halifax)
  • Events: U15 Foil and Open Foil
    (Event selection was based upon time and venue constraints)
  • Cost: $25 per event, payments to be made by cash or cheque at the door.
  • Registration: Online. Deadline is May 20, registrations received after this date will be subject to a $10 late fee.

Reminder - Deadline to Register for Canadian Fencing Championships is May 2, 2015

The deadline to register for the 2015 Canadian Fencing Championships scheduled to take place May 15-17, 2015 in Richmond, BC is quickly approaching!  Register by this Saturday, May 2nd to avoid late fees. 

Do not forget to book your hotel room at the host hotels.  All rooms currently on hold for our event will be released after May 2nd.  Please book through the link provided on the CFF’s event web page.

The Canadian Fencing Federation will be offering an armoury workshop during the Senior Nationals in Richmond. The National Armoury workshop is for individuals who already have practical experience maintaining personal, club and competition equipment. The goal of the this clinic is to progress a technician to the role of armourer as a competition official.

SYNOPSIS
- Review repair procedures for:
   - Fencers Equipment
   - Club Equipment
   - Heavy Equipment
- Rules for each weapon
- Rules pertinent to the competition
- Finding and solving problems on the strip
- Installation of a competition site
- Role of the armourer
- Testing and Competition Procedures
- Sanctions for infractions related to the equipment
- Practical exam and Written exam

The cost of the 3 day workshop is $150.00

Open to candidates 16 years of age or older.

Candidates with be required to supply their own tools and have read both the materials and technical portion of the current FIE Rules. Emphasis on the Materials section (m.1 to m.60) is highly suggested.

Other clinic materials will be provided prior to the event.
