As of the 2016-2017 season, the Cape Breton Musketeers has had to close its doors, and is no longer active.

People in the Sydney area who are interested in re-starting the club, or one like it, should contact FANS through this website.  There are many factors that play into being able to initiate and sustain a club:  access to coaching resources and training for coaches; facility rental; availability of fencing equipment for the use of novice and continuing fencers; opportunities to compete against fencers in other clubs or regions; recruiting and retaining volunteers to support the club activities and administration.  Most of the barriers are financial, but not all, as burn-out is a risk for over-worked coaches, however committed to fencing they might be.
